Breakfast. Travel time. Lüneburg is a charming town with tiled roofs, appealing at any time of year, day, or night. Once one of Germany’s wealthiest cities, Lüneburg was the site of Europe’s largest salt production as early as the 10th century. It is a city that inspired Johann Sebastian Bach and profoundly influenced his life. Overnight stay at a 2-star hotel near Hanover. Arrival at the hotel.

"Two brilliant pearls of the UNESCO necklace..."

  • Breakfast. We offer an optional excursion titled "Two Brilliant Pearls of the UNESCO Necklace" (for an additional fee of €45). Travel time. The day is dedicated to UNESCO-listed gems. Wernigerode—a well-preserved historic town featuring neat half-timbered burgher houses—is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The film *The Very Same Munchhausen* was shot here. Travel time. Arrival in Goslar. With its unique ensemble of half-timbered houses and the Imperial Palace (*Kaiserpfalz*), the thousand-year-old city of Goslar is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Between the 10th and 12th centuries, Goslar was part of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation; at one time, it was even known as the "Rome of the North." The city is also renowned as a residence of the Saxon emperors. Its unique medieval cityscape has remained unchanged to this day. Return and overnight stay at a 2-star hotel in the Hanover area.

  • Breakfast. Travel time. Arrival in Hildesheim, a city founded in 815. Hildesheim Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site, was built in the 9th century. St. Michael's Church is also a site of cultural heritage. Hildesheim is known as the "City of Roses," and its main symbol is a legendary, thousand-year-old rosebush. Shopping at the A10 supermarket. Travel time. Overnight stay at a 3-star hotel in Poland, near Słubice.
